Brij Bhushan Singh: Wrestlers have been demonstrating for a long time against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, BJP MP and President of the Wrestling Federation of India. After sexual harassment and all kinds of allegations, a case was registered against him, but till now no arrest has been made. For which the wrestlers are sitting on a dharna at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. Now Delhi Police’s SIT has reached UP in this matter. The SIT probing the sexual harassment case of women wrestlers reached the ancestral residence of MP Brij Bhushan Singh in Gonda, where statements of several people were recorded.

The Delhi Police team reached Brij Bhushan Sharan’s ancestral residence Bishnoharpur and statements of 12 people were taken here, including MP’s close relatives, relatives, associates and security personnel. The investigation team has collected the names, addresses, mobile numbers and identity cards of some people from Gonda as evidence. After which further action can be taken in this matter.

Delhi Police SIT has already recorded statements of people in Gonda regarding this matter. She is probing the allegations leveled against the BJP MP during wrestling competitions in the country as well as abroad. This investigation of Delhi Police is going on for a long time. However, wrestlers are constantly raising questions as to why no action has been taken against Brij Bhushan Singh despite such serious allegations. On the other hand, Delhi Police says that a fair investigation is being done in this matter.
How was the FIR registered
A complaint was lodged with the Delhi Police on behalf of the women wrestlers, but the police did not register an FIR for a long time. After this the matter reached the Supreme Court and immediately an FIR was registered. The Delhi Police told the Supreme Court that an FIR has been registered against the accused MP in this case. A case was registered against the BJP MP under all sections including POCSO, although no arrest was made.
