Social media company Meta has launched the Meta Verified program in India. The company’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced this. He wrote, ‘Meta Verified is now available in India, UK and Canada and is coming soon to Brazil.’
For India, Meta has kept a monthly subscription plan of Rs 699 for iOS and Android device users. The company has said that in the next few months, web users will be able to take a subscription plan by paying Rs 599 per month. Blue tick will be available on Facebook and Instagram through this subscription plan.
Blue tick will not be removed from already verified account
Mark Zuckerberg said that Facebook and Instagram accounts that are already verified will not have to take the Blue Tick subscription plan. The blue ticks of already verified users will not be removed.
Got positive results during testing
Meta said through a blog post that positive results have been seen during testing in many countries of the world, after which this service is being started in India.
Verified users will get special features
Like Twitter Blue subscription, Meta Verified users will also get some special features. Zuckerberg said, ‘Meta Verified is to enhance our service, authenticity and safety features.’ The company claims that the content visibility and reach of users taking monthly subscriptions will increase. Along with this, exclusive stickers will be available for stories and reels on Facebook and Instagram. Extra impersonation protection will be available i.e. no one else will be able to create your fake ID. To support the creators, Facebook will get 100 stars every month.
Account will be verified only after fulfilling the conditions
The company told that the users who have to take the Meta Verified subscription plan should be at least 18 years of age. With this, it is necessary to have minimum activity on the account. Also, users have to upload a government ID, according to which the account name and photo should match.
