Mamta wants to meet PM Modi along with MPs
Addressing the media, she said, “I am going to Delhi between 18th and 20th December. I have written a letter to the Prime Minister seeking time to meet him on these dates. I have mentioned in the letter that I am going to do ‘100-day work’. I want to meet him along with some MPs regarding the distribution of funds for the scheme.”
Will leave for Delhi on 17th December
During this he also warned that if the Prime Minister does not agree to meet us, he will do whatever he has to do. Mamata said, “We will leave for Delhi on December 17. We will wait for his time from December 18 to 20. If he does not yield, then we will do what we have to do.”
‘Centre did not release funds’
The TMC supremo alleged that the central government has not yet released funds to the state government for the work that has already been done under the MNREGA programme. Mamata asked that when other states are getting money from the Central Government, then why is she stopping the West Bengal fund?
The Chief Minister said that they (Central Government) have also stopped our share of money for health, houses, roads and hospitals. We don’t want their money but our share. If every state is getting money, why are we not getting it? That is why I have asked for time from him (PM Modi).
