Telangana Election 2023 Date: Before the voting for the upcoming assembly elections in Telangana on November 30, good news has come out for Congress. Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), a party led by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, said on Tuesday (November 21) that it has decided to support the Congress in the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections.
DMK said in a statement issued on Tuesday (November 21) that “all its workers should work for the victory of the Congress candidates contesting in Telangana.” The DMK is an ally of the Congress in Tamil Nadu and both parties are part of the INDIA alliance to take on the BJP-led NDA in next year’s Lok Sabha elections.
YSR Telangana has also given support
Let us tell you that a few days ago, YSR Telangana Party had announced in support of Congress that it will not contest Telangana Assembly elections. Then Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s sister YS Sharmila had said that she had decided not to contest elections in Telangana so that the Congress vote is not divided. When there is a possibility of change of power in the state, she does not want to become a hindrance by dividing anti-government votes. Now the announcement of DMK’s support is being considered a big step.
This time there is a fight between Congress and BRS
This time there is a tough fight between the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and Congress in the Telangana Assembly elections. However, Bharatiya Janata Party is also claiming victory. Amidst all this, Owaisi’s AIMIM is also contesting on many seats. After voting for 119 assembly seats of Telangana on December 30, counting of votes will take place on December 3. Earlier, BRS (earlier TRS) had won 88 seats in the elections held in 2018. The Congress alliance had won 11 seats. BJP had won 1 seat in the last elections.
