Volkswagen India today launched the Sound Edition of its popular SUV Taigun and Virtus in the sedan segment in India. The company had recently released the teaser of the sound edition of the cars. Both cars have achieved 5-star safety rating in Global NCAP and have more than 40 safety features.
The starting price of Taigun Sound Edition is Rs 16.33 lakh and the Virtus Sound Edition has been launched at a starting price of Rs 15.52 lakh. Both these prices are ex-showroom. The company has started booking for both the cars. You can book these by visiting the official website or dealership.
What’s new in the sound edition?
The Sound Edition version is essentially based on the 1.0-litre TSI variants of both the cars. Subwoofer and amplifier have been added to these. Both features were previously available only in the high-end GT Edge variants of the Taigun and Virtus, which were exclusively available with the 1.5-litre TSI engine.
Apart from the subwoofer and amplifier, the Sound Edition also gets new C-pillar graphics, front electrically-adjusted seats as well as a white roof and ORVM caps (only in Taigun).
