Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has invested ₹45,000 crore in West Bengal. With this, the company will invest ₹20,000 crore in the next three years. RIL Chairman Mukesh Ambani made this announcement at the 7th edition of Bengal Global Business Summit in Kolkata.
During the business summit, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced to make cricketer Sourav Ganguly the brand ambassador of the state. He said, ‘Sourav Ganguly is a very popular person and he can work in many ways for the young generation.’

Reliance will invest in telecom, retail and bio energy
Mukesh Ambani said that the group will mainly invest in three sectors – telecom, retail and bio energy. We will convert every household in Bengal into smart homes very soon with the rapid rollout of Jio Fiber and Air Fiber. We have also extended 5G network to most parts.
Reliance is renovating and restoring Kalighat temple
Ambani also told that Reliance Foundation is renovating and restoring the Kalighat temple in Kolkata. Along with this, Reliance Industries has partnered with Biswa Bangla Corp through Reliance Retail for the sale of Bengali handicrafts.
