There is going to be a change in the rules of selling SIM from 1st December i.e. tomorrow. Under this, it will be mandatory for all dealers selling SIMs to have verification. Not only this, it will also be mandatory for dealers to register for selling SIMs.
Telecom operators will be responsible for police verification of any merchant selling SIM. Ignoring the rules may result in a fine of Rs 10 lakh. Steps have been taken by the government to crack down on selling fake SIM cards.
