Mumbai Rising Air Pollution: Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde spoke to journalists regarding the increasing air pollution in Mumbai. He said, increasing air pollution in the city is a matter of concern. For this, he has given instructions to his officials including Mumbai Municipal Corporation. If needed, talks have been held with a Dubai company and they will also provide artificial rain in the city.
Eknath Shinde told the media, pollution levels have increased in Mumbai in the last few days, hence, I have held a special meeting with the city commissioner, MMRD and others. He said, in this meeting I have given them clear instructions to reduce the level of pollution by whatever means possible, for this hire people on the ground, deploy more teams, clean the roads with water, remove debris.

What instructions did the CM give to reduce pollution?
Eknath Shinde said that I told the Commissioner to bring 1000 tankers on rent, all the roads should be cleaned during the day, dust should be removed from them. Anti-smog guns should also be used, jetting machines should also be used. All these processes should be done so that the level of pollution can be reduced. He said, if this does not happen then our government has talked to a Dubai company.
He said, if the need arises, the government will make arrangements in the coming days to provide artificial rain in the city so that the pollution level comes down. To fulfill this decision, Maharashtra government officials are in talks with the Dubai company to complete the agreement.
