The Supreme Court reprimanded the Delhi government for not giving money to the rapid rail project and said that your publicity budget will be invested in it. The Supreme Court has also frozen the publicity budget of the Delhi government with immediate effect and has said that if the Delhi government does not release the money for the Rapid Rail Project within a week, then this (publicity) money will be spent in the Rapid Rail Transport Project. Let it be put.
While hearing this case, the Supreme Court said that as per the advertisement of Delhi’s Kejriwal government, the budget for three years is Rs 1100 crore. Its budget for this year alone is Rs 550 crore, but the Delhi government is not giving Rs 415 crore for this project. In such a situation, Delhi government should release this Rs 415 crore in a week, otherwise we will transfer the money from its publicity budget to this project.
Giving information about this matter on X (formerly Twitter), ANI quoted the Supreme Court as saying, “Supreme Court warns Delhi government for not providing funds for RRTS project. Why did the Delhi government not follow the court order? We will put a stop to your (Delhi government’s) advertising budget. We’ll attach it and take it here.”
The Supreme Court directed that Delhi government funds for advertising be transferred to the project, however, kept the order in abeyance for a period of one week and said that if the funds are not transferred then the order will come into force.”

Expressing displeasure at the state government, the court said that assurance of payment was given from your side. We had said earlier also that your campaign money will be confiscated. Now we are ordering its confiscation. This order will be postponed for only 1 week. If you do not take steps till then, the order will be implemented. In such a situation, the court has made it clear that if funding is not provided, the Delhi government may have to lose the advertising budget.
Let us tell you that the Delhi government owes Rs 565 crore this year for Delhi-Meerut, Delhi-Alwar and Delhi-Panipat RRTS. The surprising thing here is that this year’s advertising budget of Delhi government is Rs 550 crore. This is the reason why the Supreme Court has expressed its displeasure and said that the advertising budget should be confiscated. Now the next hearing on this matter is to be held on November 28, 2023.
