Dawood Ibrahim: A person claiming to be associated with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim has been arrested. This person had made a threatening call to the Mumbai Police control room, after which the police traced the accused and arrested him. The arrested man claimed that the Dawood gang had instructed him to plot the assassination of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
According to the report of Hindustan Times, the police said that the accused person who made the call threatened to target JJ Hospital also. JJ Hospital is one of the most prominent hospitals in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra. A case has been registered against the accused person under section 505 (2) of the IPC, which is imposed for making statements promoting enmity, hatred or ill-will between different religious, racial, linguistic or regional groups or castes.
