Tamil musician, singer and actor Vijay Antony’s 12th class daughter committed suicide. His daughter’s name was Meera and she was only 16 years old. Vijay Antony is shocked by Meera’s death, as he has always been spreading awareness against ending life.
Meera was found dead at her Chennai residence. Meera has committed suicide by hanging herself. Apart from Meera, actor Vijay Antony also has another daughter. Vijay’s father also committed suicide when Vijay was only 7 years old. Vijay has said many times in public that no matter how big a problem one faces, one should not end one’s life.
Vijay Antony had told in a program how much problems his mother had to face in raising him after his father’s suicide. Vijay had also expressed grief for the children who have committed suicide. A report in ‘India Today’ states that Meera was suffering from depression. Meera was first seen by a person working in Vijay’s house, after which she was immediately taken to the hospital. Doctors declared Meera dead in the hospital.
Vijay is a well-known composer of Tamil film industry who has given many hit songs. After the suicide of Vijay’s daughter, his fans are expressing grief on Twitter. Vijay always used to encourage people in public events. On social media, Vijay’s fans also made viral an old post of Vijay’s wife Fatima, in which Fatima had congratulated her daughter Meera on being made the secretary in ‘Sacred Heart School’.
After Meera’s death, many stars of Tamil cinema including Udhayanidhi Stalin, son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, also reached Vijay’s house.
