After the success of these Bollywood films, Salman Khan now said that now the time has come to look at new benchmarks like Rs 1000 crore because joining the Rs 100 crore club has now become a thing of the past.
‘Collection of Rs 500-600 crore is common now’
According to a news published in Etimes, during the trailer launch of ‘Maujaan Hi Maujaan’, Salman Khan talked about the good performance of Punjabi films at the box office. He said that the kind of earnings that films are earning in different industries is creating new records. It is now common to earn Rs 500-600 crore in the North Region alone.
‘The benchmark should be Rs 1000 crore’
Bhaijaan said that whether it is Punjabi industry or Hindi film industry, everywhere now films are earning more than Rs 400-500-600 crores. Marathi films are also collecting so much in this period. Salman said, ‘I think having Rs 100 crore is not a big deal. I think right now the benchmark for a film should be Rs 1000 crore.
