Nawaz Sharif has announced to return to the country on October 21 to lead the party’s political campaign in the upcoming general elections.

Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif held former generals and judges responsible for the country’s economic crisis and said that his country is pleading for help from the world, while India, apart from reaching the moon, has also held the G20 summit. Sharif (73), leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party, said that India has followed the economic reforms started by the government in 1990. In November 2019, Sharif, who was serving a seven-year jail term in the Alazizia Mills corruption case, was helped by then Army chief General Bajwa to leave the country on medical grounds. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has said it will secure anticipatory bail for Sharif before he reaches Lahore next month.
His party has planned a warm welcome for Sharif on his return. Sharif targeted the military and judicial establishments in 2017. In his emotional address, Sharif said, “The person (Nawaz) who freed the country from power cuts was sent home by four judges.”
Sharif said that the forces behind his ouster were the then army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and the then chief of intelligence agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) General Faiz Hamid.
Sharif said, “(Former) Chief Justice Saqib Nisar and Asif Saeed Khaos were tools in the hands of (former army chief and his intelligence chief). His crime is bigger than the crime of murder. Forgiving them would be injustice to the nation. They don’t deserve an apology.”
The PML-N leader vowed, “These ‘characters’ who have brought the people of Pakistan into a miserable situation will have to face accountability.” Sharif also expressed confidence that his party will win the upcoming general elections.
