India took retaliatory steps after serious allegations were made regarding the murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. After this, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau has come into damage control mode. Justin Trudeau clarified his statement given in the Canadian Parliament on Tuesday. He said, “Canada is not trying to provoke India over ‘agents’ being linked to the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, but we want New Delhi to handle this issue properly.”
Justin Trudeau told the media, “The Indian government needs to take this matter very seriously. We are doing that, we are not trying to incite or escalate it.” Earlier, India had completely rejected the allegations of the Canadian government, calling them absurd.
India expels senior Canadian diplomat
Along with this, the Indian government has expelled Canada’s senior diplomat present in the country. He has been given 5 days to leave the country.

Canadian PM Justin Trudeau told MPs – “The involvement of a foreign government in the murder of a citizen on Canadian soil is a violation of our country’s sovereignty. We will put pressure on the Indian government to cooperate in the investigation of this murder.” “
Justin Trudeau said- “The large population of Sikhs of Indian origin living in Canada is angry about this murder. Many Sikhs are afraid for their safety. There are between 14-18 lakh citizens of Indian origin in the country, Many of whom are Sikhs. Jagmeet Singh, leader of Canada’s opposition New Democratic Party, is from the Sikh community.”
India gave a blunt answer
India has rejected all the allegations made by Canada. India’s Ministry of External Affairs said, “All Canadian allegations are absurd. Similar allegations were made by the Canadian Prime Minister to our PM Modi as well. They were completely rejected.”
The Ministry of External Affairs said, “Such baseless allegations are an attempt to divert attention from Khalistani terrorists and extremists. They have been given sanctuary in Canada. They are a threat to India’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
