World Cup 2019
England’s team for ODI World Cup 2023 has been announced. England’s white ball team is always full of star players and this can be believed by looking at the World Cup squad also. Harry Brook was included in the England team by excluding Jason Roy. Meanwhile, big news has come out about the inclusion of another deadly player in the English team.
This player got entry in the team
Deadly fast bowler Joffra Archer has entered the England team as a traveling reserve. Archer is still not completely fit to be included in the team but captain Jos Buttler has decided to bring him with him to India. Archer won the trophy for his team by bowling a crucial super over against New Zealand in the final of the World Cup 2019.
Brook also got a place in the team
Batsman Harry Brook was included in the team in place of star opening batsman Jason Roy. Brook, who was left out of England’s provisional World Cup squad, was included in the squad after the recent series against New Zealand. David Malan, who scored 277 runs in three ODIs against New Zealand, has also got a place in the team and is considered a strong contender to open the batting for England.
There were fears of injury to spinners Adil Rashid and Mark Wood but both were included in the team. England will face New Zealand in their first match of the World Cup on October 5 in Ahmedabad.
