Iraq Fire Accident: At least 100 people died and 150 others were injured in a fire at a wedding in Al-Hamdaniya district of Nineveh province in northern Iraq on Tuesday (September 26). Neveh province is located just outside Mosul, about 335 kilometers (205 mi) northwest of the capital Baghdad. According to the report of Iraqi news agency Nina, the bride and groom are also said to be among those who died of burns in the fire.
However, it is not yet clear what was the reason for the fire, but initial reports say that the fire broke out due to burning of firecrackers. In a picture posted by Iraqi news agency Nina, firefighters are working to extinguish the fire. Apart from this, burnt remains of the event hall are visible in the pictures of local journalists on social media.
