Abhinav Kumar/Darbhanga. There is relief news for the people of Darbhanga including North Bihar. Now you will not have to go out for ortho treatment. Ortho patients in DMCH can now be treated in a surgical building equipped with modern facilities. In which all the facilities which are available in big hospitals will be available for ortho patients. DMCH Superintendent Alka Mishra said that very soon this facility will start in Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital.
This is a five-storey building on the ground floor of which facilities for tests like burn, emergency, city scan, ultrasound and X-ray will be available. So, a 96-bed orthopedic ward and OPD will be operated on the first floor. A 96-bed general surgery ward is being built on the second floor. Besides, there will be an additional ortho ward of 64 beds on the third floor. 10 additional major operation rooms are also being built on the fourth floor. Apart from all these facilities, if we talk about it, all types of pathology lab facilities will be available on the fifth floor.
Expected to get the facility from October
Alka Mishra said that no such information has been received from the government yet. Information will be given as soon as it is received, but if DMC sources are to be believed, it is being estimated that this building will be inaugurated in the month of October itself. Let us tell you that the construction of this building was started in the month of December 2019 and this building with 400 beds is being prepared at a cost of Rs 126 crore. If such a facility is soon restored in Darbhanga DMCH, then in future women will not need to go out even for major operations.
