Christian conversion racket has been exposed in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh. An attempt was made to convert Hindus by gathering them under the pretext of Kirtan. People were also lured with money to become Christians. In this case, the police have registered a case against a total of 17 accused. So far, a total of 15 including 7 women have been arrested.
According to media reports, this case is of Sahibabad police station area of Ghaziabad. On Sunday (17 September 2023), 10 people of Hindu community were gathered in the name of bhajan-kirtan in Karhera village. This gathering was at the house of Dinesh, who lives in Noornagar Colony and works in a factory nearby. Many people had come from Delhi to perform Kirtan. Women were also included in these. During the program itself, Subhash Chand from the same village informed the police and accused Dinesh of trying to convert Hindus to Christianity in his house.

Police reached the spot, took a complaint from Subhash Chand, registered a case and started investigation. Subhash Chand described himself as a Hindu and was hurt by the actions of the accused. During investigation, residents of the colony present at the kirtan alleged that they were tempted to become Christians during the programme. By doing this he was assured that all his troubles would go away. The lure of money was also given. Bible and other books of Christian faith were also distributed among the people gathered in the name of alleged kirtan.

When the police interrogated the landlord Dinesh, he informed that the outsiders gathered in the house were residents of Delhi. Dinesh also told that he got information about people coming from outside through a video on YouTube. Dinesh got injured 6 months ago. After this he contacted this gang who was making a video to relieve pain and get religious conversion done. A person named Subhash Jatav, who was present at the program, has also accused Dinesh of being associated with the conversion racket.
When the police searched the people who had come from Delhi to organize the program, they were found roaming in an eco car in Ghaziabad the next day on 18 September. When all of them were taken into custody and interrogated, they declared themselves to be Christians since childhood. Confessed that they show the specialty of Christianity by gathering people in the name of prayer meetings. In order to connect more and more people with themselves, the accused also admitted to luring people with money. It is also believed that he promises to remove diseases and problems from the people.
After this confession, the police arrested a total of 15 people including 7 women. Action has been taken against all of them under Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Religious Conversion 2021. The names of the arrested accused are landlord Dinesh, Chand Dev Rai, Bablu, Rajan Verma, Joy, Ashmat Usman, Rajkumar, Ajay, Anita, Jayadas, Ruchika, Meenu and Gudiya. 5 Bibles, 2 song books, book of words, guitar and its cover have been recovered from all of them. The Eeco car in which the accused were traveling has also been seized.
