The best Ganeshotsav mandals will have to take permission once in the next five years for Ganeshotsav. The decision to grant permission was taken in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. This decision has come as a relief to those excellent Ganeshotsav mandals who have followed all the rules, laws and there have been no complaints against the mandals in the last ten years. Also they will be able to make better plans for the coming years. (Ganeshotsav mandals will have to take permission only once in five years)
Meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde
This demand was made in the meeting chaired by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. During this, attention was also drawn to the instructions given by the High Court on a petition. As per the instructions given by the Chief Minister in this meeting, the Urban Development Department has announced the government decision.
According to this decision, all the Municipal Corporations, Municipalities and Nagar Panchayats have to take action to allow the best Ganeshotsav Mandals following the government rules and laws for the next five years in the Ganeshotsav starting from September 19, 2023.
