Delhi University Election: Voting for various posts will be held on September 22 (Friday) for the student union elections in Delhi University. During this time the entire campus will be seen painted in election colours. There will be a tough fight between many candidates in this election.
The counting of votes for the election will start at 8 am on September 23. The results of this election will start becoming clear from around 12 noon. Counting of votes will take place in the conference center in front of the Botany Department of North Campus. In the 2019 DUSU elections, ABVP had won three out of four seats.
ABVP candidates
ABVP has made Tushar Dedha its candidate for the post of President in Delhi University Students Union elections. Apart from this, Sushant Dhankhar has been made the candidate for the post of Vice President, Aparajita for the post of Secretary and Sachin Baisla for the post of Joint Secretary.
AISA candidates in DUSU elections
At the same time, All India Student Association (AISA) has nominated Ayesha Ahmed Khan for the post of President, Anushka Chaudhary for the post of Vice President and Aditya Pratap Singh for the post of Joint Secretary.
NSUI candidates in DUSU elections
National Students Union of India (NSUI) has made Hitesh Gulia its candidate for the post of President. Abhi Dahiya was made the candidate for the post of Vice President and female candidate Yakshna Sharma was made the candidate for the post of Secretary. At the same time, Shubham Kumar Choudhary has been fielded for the post of Assistant Secretary.
SFI candidates in DUSU elections
Student Federation of India (SFI) has fielded Arif Siddiqui for the post of President, Ankit for the post of Vice President, Aditi Tyagi for the post of Secretary, Nishtha Singh for the post of Assistant Secretary.
Close contest between NSUI and ABVP
Let us tell you that a total of 24 candidates are contesting for four posts in this election. At the same time, more than 90 candidates had filled the form. However, a close contest is expected between NUSI and ABVP. If we look at the statistics of last 10 years of Delhi University student elections, ABVP won 7 times while NSUI won 3 times.
