New Delhi. Shaheed Bhagat Singh Armed Forces Preparatory School (AFPS), Delhi has achieved spectacular success in the NDA examination in the very first year itself. 32 students of the first batch of AFPS have cracked the NDA exam, including 9 girls. This Delhi Government school is spread over 14 acres.
It has been made a modern school equipped with all facilities. The school is part of the Schools of Specialized Excellence of the Government of Delhi and affiliated with the Delhi Board of School Education. This school is completely free and is residential. There are separate hostels for boys and girls here. In schools, the quality of an officer in the army is developed in the children at that level.
In the school, children are prepared for NDA and other armed services. Expert faculty, especially retired Army or Air Force officers, are hired to impart training. Any child living in Delhi can take admission in class 9th and 11th. At present, a total of 237 students are enrolled in this school in class 9th, 10th and 12th. A total of 76 children are enrolled in class 12th, all of whom appeared for the NDA exam and 32 of them passed the written examination.
On this wonderful achievement, Delhi Education Minister Atishi visited the school located in Jharauda Kalan on Wednesday and met the students. At the same time, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, “It is a pleasure to inform that 32 students of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Armed Forces Preparatory School, Delhi have passed the NDA exam. In just one year, Armed Forces Preparatory School, Delhi has shown excellent results. Are.”
The Education Minister said that when the Chief Minister had inaugurated this school a year ago, he had said that this school would fulfill the dream of children from poor families to become military officers. Delhi’s Education Ministry says that a total of 76 students of this school had appeared for the examination and out of them 32 students have passed the examination.
He said that, we had thought a year or two ago that there is no Sainik School inside Delhi, there is no formal system for our children of Delhi who want to join the army and serve the country, Which can prepare them for recruitment in the army. For this we started this school a year ago.
The Kejriwal government school is second only to Uttarakhand-based Sainik School, Ghorakhal (established 1966), where such a large number of children have qualified the NDA exam.
In the Delhi Cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on 20 December 2021, it was decided that a special school should be built in Delhi, where children will be trained to join the army, so that they can join the NDA, Navy, To be recruited in military services like Air Force.
According to the Ministry of Education, this school was prepared by the Delhi Government in less than a year and it was inaugurated by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on 27 August 2022.
