Recalling her experiences, Sumbul told how at the beginning of her career, she heard comments about her dark complexion and it had a very bad effect on her mentally.

Sumbul Tauqeer Khan also debuted in Bollywood in 2019 with Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana’s film Article 15. The actress got the most fame from the Star Plus serial Imli in which she played the character of a girl named Imli.
Talking about the work front, she has returned to the small screen with the serial ‘Kavya- Ek Jazba, Ek Junoon’. The show began airing on Sony Entertainment Television on 25 September.
