Will meet the President and Home Minister – Naresh Tikait
Naresh Tikait, who convened the Sarva Khap Panchayat, said, this struggle will continue till the last breath. He once again demanded the arrest of Brij Bhushan Singh and asked to withdraw the cases filed against the wrestlers. He said, we will meet the President, Prime Minister and Home Minister regarding this matter. It is not a matter of casteism, it is an issue of wrestlers representing the country.
Rakesh Tikaite said – There is no caste of a warrior
Rakesh Tikait accused the Modi government of dividing the wrestlers. He said, these people first divided the religion. Divided the Lalu family, divided the Akhilesh family. Now they are saying that these people belong to one caste. Wherever the wrestlers go, they carry the country’s flag there. Calling upon Gurjar and Rajput society to unite, Tikait said that there is no caste of a warrior.
Wrestlers were going to shed medals in Ganga
Earlier on Tuesday (May 30), after stopping the wrestlers going to float the medal in the Ganges, Naresh Tikait had announced to call a panchayat on June 1. Unhappy with the Delhi Police removing them from Jantar Mantar and registering an FIR, the wrestlers had announced to flow their won medals into the Ganges. In the evening, all the wrestlers had reached Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar to distribute the medals, when farmer leader Naresh Tikait entered and explained to the wrestlers, they stopped them from shedding their medals.
