Shubhendu Adhikari said – Democracy was murdered
BJP leader and Leader of Opposition in West Bengal Legislative Assembly Shubhendu Adhikari linked the announcement of Panchayat elections to the murder of democracy. For the first time, panchayat elections have been announced unilaterally without holding a single all-party meeting at block level, district level or state level.
BJP MLA from Nandigram, Shubhendu Adhikari further said, “There has been no discussion on the security arrangements for the elections to be held in a single phase. The time period given for filing nominations will start from tomorrow i.e. June 9, the last date of which is June 15. Due to the weekend on June 10 and 11, no government work will be done.
Shubhendu Adhikari’s target on State Election Commission
BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari further wrote in the tweet, “The intention of the West Bengal State Election Commission is clear. It is clear from the announcement itself that they will work actively as front organization of the regional TMC party.
