According to a Hindustan Times report, in a meeting chaired by Railway Board (CRB) chairman Anil Kumar Lahoti on Tuesday, zonal railways were asked to undertake a maintenance block-rolling block program in the next six months. The rolling block program will be made for 26 weeks. Along with this, the program will be reviewed every week. Instructions have been given to monitor the track of all sections.

In the meeting, the Divisional Railway Managers and Zonal Heads were instructed to prepare a program of works to be done in a block. Apart from this, he was also instructed to review the program every week. CRB has asked all zonal railways not to do maintenance work without railway block. Also asked all zonal railways to plan corridor blocks for maintenance.
