In which school level champions from different states of the country have reached Delhi on Monday (June 5) to represent their state, but the budding players seem to be helpless due to the facilities provided by the Delhi government.
Delhi BJP spokesperson Harish Khurana has tweeted a video on social media of a classroom of the Delhi Board of School Education, which comes under Delhi Government, located in Patparganj. In which a mattress has been laid on the ground for the players. Harish Khurana alleges that this attitude of the Delhi government towards the young players shows the hypocrisy of the government. Also appealed to Chief Minister Kejriwal to provide better facilities for these players as soon as possible.
Players dissatisfied with such arrangement
When ABP News team went to this school, they also saw mattresses lying on the ground in the classroom. A white sheet was found on the mattresses and a pillow was found on each mattress. School administration said this
The video of players sleeping on mattresses on the ground at Sarvodaya Co-Education Higher Secondary School in Patparganj is viral on social media. A discussion was also held with the school principal Ashok Gaur regarding this. Rs 250 per day has also been taken from each player participating in the competition on behalf of the Sports Branch attached to the Education Department of Delhi Government. In which breakfast and dinner have been talked about in the ‘hotel’, rest of the lunch and evening breakfast have been said to be done at the competition venue itself. Technical fault or negligence?
