LinkedIn ID Verification feature: Professional social networking platform LinkedIn has introduced its identity verification feature for Indian users. In a blog post on Wednesday, Ashutosh Gupta, country manager, LinkedIn India, said, “Being ID verified means that the person’s government-issued ID is verified by one of LinkedIn’s verification partners.”
Hyperverge in India is a third party identity verification service that uses DigiLocker to handle ID verification of Government of India issued IDs such as Aadhar card with an online wallet ID verification. ID verification is available for users with valid Aadhaar number and Indian phone number.
She added that, on LinkedIn, when you show that you’re real, you’ll have an even greater chance of finding professional opportunities for yourself and your community. He told that the platform does not have access to any sensitive data from the base of the member.
The company said that even if you do not have an Aadhaar, you can verify other information using different methods for use on LinkedIn. You can verify through your work email or workplace credentials. In April, the company rolled out ID verification in the US and plans to bring the feature to other countries soon.
