The Fact India: Before the announcement of the date of assembly elections in Rajasthan, the Congress is trying its best to cover up the infighting. Talking to the media in Delhi, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal termed the discussions of former Rajasthan Deputy CM Sachin Pilot forming a new party as mere rumours. He said that after the meeting held at the house of President Mallikarjun Kharge, Pilot has been talked to three-four times. The talk of forming a party is just a rumour. Everyone is united in Rajasthan and will fight the elections together.
Venugopal said that there is no point in replying to rumours. There is no such atmosphere in Rajasthan. On the question of contact with Pilot after the reconciliation meeting held at the Congress President’s house, Venugopal said that talks are on continuously. Both the leaders are united.
Let us inform that on May 15, Sachin Pilot had given an ultimatum of 15 days to the government by keeping three demands. The ultimatum has been met. Two days after the reconciliation meeting at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s house, during his visit to Tonk, Sachin Pilot had said that there was no question of compromising on the future of youth and BJP’s corruption.
Pilot had demanded compensation to the youth affected by the paper leak, dissolution of the RPAAC and reconstitution and formation of a high-power committee to investigate the corruption of the BJP rule. Here, despite reconciliation, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has flatly refused to accept the demands of Sachin Pilot.
Gehlot had flatly refused to give compensation to those affected by the paper leak even before the reconciliation meeting. On the demand of dissolution of RPSC, Gehlot had recently said in an interview that the pilots are members of the family. Will definitely pay attention to his words. We had got the exam done, RPAAC is a constitutional body, there is no provision to dissolve it. Even after the reconciliation meeting, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal said that all the leaders in Rajasthan will fight the elections unitedly.
