Dinesh Gundu Rao On RSS-BJP: The state government will review hundreds of acres of land allotted to the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS) and its affiliated organizations during the BJP rule in Karnataka. Karnataka Health and Family Welfare Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao said this to the media on Friday (June 9).
He also said that some tenders issued in the BJP government have been canceled while others will be considered. Rao said that the measures taken by the Department of Health and Family Welfare for better public health services would be discussed in a meeting next week.

According to the news agency PTI, in the press conference, Karnataka government minister Rao said that hundreds of acres of government land were transferred in the name of organizations affiliated to RSS and Sangh Parivar. The purpose of allotting land in this way was to help these organizations grow and their ideology would also spread.
Rao said, “This (allotment of land) should not happen. People should be informed about everything. Nothing should be kept secret. People should know about this. It is not right to take everything in the same way. That’s why we have to take steps.
‘Congress government will have to take steps’
Asked if any action has been taken on the issue of land allotment, Rao said at this stage he cannot say anything about the steps taken but the Congress government will have to do it. Rao said it should happen at the government level, the revenue department and the chief minister (Siddaramaiah) have to see what and how happened. Whether it happened legally and at what cost the land was allotted, they have to decide because these are all legal matters.
Dinesh Gundu Rao lashed out at BJP
On allegations of conspiracy against BJP workers, Rao said that the party’s aim is to distort history, create rift and spread hatred among people which they are doing it at every level, be it in textbooks, or by people like Appointing RSS in various organizations and allotting government land to RSS and its affiliated organizations.
Rao said that he has called a meeting where several decisions will be taken. He said that the Congress government has canceled some tenders like 108-ambulance tender and dialysis contract.
