Pakistan News: There is political upheaval in Pakistan. There is a situation of tension between the Shahbaz government and former Prime Minister Imran Khan. Meanwhile, taking a big decision, Imran Khan has filed a defamation case of Rs 15 billion against the National Accountability Bureau ie NAB.
In this regard, Imran Khan said that ‘I have decided to file a defamation case of Rs 15 billion against the chairman of NAB. I have sent him a legal notice. Imran Khan alleged that ‘my arrest warrant was issued on a public holiday and was kept secret for 8 days. I was not informed about the conversion of the inquiry into an investigation in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
Terms and conditions were violated, said Imran Khan
Imran Khan said that ‘the conditions prescribed in Section 24 of the NAB Ordinance were flouted. The Supreme Court had said that the manner and execution of my arrest warrant was illegal and unconstitutional. Imran further said that ‘Pakistan Rangers were used to execute the arrest warrant, who took me badly’. Imran told that ‘their secret intention was to defame me by arresting me from the premises of Islamabad High Court. They wanted to show that I have been arrested on corruption charges.
I collect charity worth Rs 10 billion annually: Imran Khan
Imran Khan told that ‘I collect 10 billion rupees annually in charity. My credibility has never been questioned. Yet my reputation has been adversely affected by my illegal and malicious arrest after implicating me in a bogus investigation. It has made me a laughing stock. So, I have the right to file a defamation suit.
Significantly, Imran Khan was arrested on May 9 in a corruption case. Later he got bail from the court. Amidst the arrest of Imran Khan, several government vehicles and buildings were damaged in violence by Imran’s supporters in Pakistan.
