Japanese automaker Honda plans to introduce five new SUVs (sports utility vehicles) in India by 2030, including a fully electric model. Giving this information, a senior company official said that we want to try ourselves once again in India. The company on Tuesday unveiled its global mid-size SUV Elevate in India. This vehicle will compete with Hyundai’s Creta, Kia’s Seltos and Maruti Suzuki’s Grand Vitara.

A full-electric version of the Elevate will be introduced within three years. The company plans to launch the Elevate during the festive season in the next few months. Takuya Tsumura, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Honda Cars India, said, “We plan to launch five SUVs including the Elevate by 2030. This is our plan for the time being.”
Honda wants to strengthen its presence in the Indian passenger vehicle market with the Elevate. The company currently sells sedans City and Amaze in India.
