There is news of gangrape of a minor Hindu girl in Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh. The allegation has been leveled against 5 people from the Muslim community. Apart from Rizwan and Taylor, there are 3 minors among these accused. Local Hindu organizations and saints have expressed displeasure over this incident. All the 5 accused have been arrested. Action has been taken against the accused under POCSO and Rasuka. Police is trying to get this case tried in a fast track court. The incident is of Sunday (June 4, 2023).
This case pertains to Ramkot police station area of Sitapur. Here a local resident of the OBC community of Hindus has lodged a complaint with the police. In the complaint, the victim said that on June 4 (Sunday), his 15-year-old sister had gone towards the forest for defecation. Meanwhile, 20-year-old Rizwan and Taylor reached there along with 3 minors from their own community and village. All of them surrounded the victim. Out of these five, 3 minors held the hands and feet of the victim tightly. After this, Rizwan and Taylor gang-raped the girl in turn.
The victim’s body suffered injuries during the gangrape. After coming home, the girl told the whole thing to her family members. As soon as the incident came to know, anger spread in Hindu organizations. Mahant Bajrang Muni Udasin of Sitapur alleged delay in the medical examination of the victim. He also had an argument with the doctors. Hindu organizations have also demanded a fair investigation by alleging rigging in the FIR. During this, a constable named Sharif was also accused of pressurizing the victim’s family.

Eventually the police registered an FIR against Rizwan and Taylor along with 3 other minors under IPC section 376-DA of gangrape, section 323 of assault and section 5G/6 of POCSO Act. Police has arrested all the five accused within 20 hours on whom the process of action under NSA (National Security Act) is going on. The police have also started efforts to get him tried in the fast track court.
