Along with this, there has been a demand to form a commission of inquiry under the chairmanship of a former judge. Apart from this, there has also been a demand to form an expert committee under the chairmanship of a former judge regarding railway safety.
Mansukh Mandaviya gave the latest update on the accident
Giving the latest update on the train accident, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said, more than 1,000 people have been injured in the accident and they are undergoing treatment. More than 100 patients are in need of critical care and specialist doctors from Delhi AIIMS, Lady Hardinge Hospital and RML Hospital have arrived here with modern equipment and medicines for their treatment. We had a detailed discussion and an action plan has also been prepared. At the same time, 288 people have died in this accident so far.
Ashwini Vaishnan told the reason for the accident
Referring to the reasons for the accident, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that this accident happened due to change in interlocking. He said, the people responsible behind this accident have also been identified and the investigation report will come out soon.
