Ajinkya Rahane got out after scoring 89 runs in the final of World Test Championship 2023. He faced 129 balls and hit 11 fours and 1 six. He is the first Indian batsman to score a half-century in the WTC final. He has equaled Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Hardik Pandya, Sourav Ganguly, Virat Kohli, Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar as soon as he scored a half-century. These batsmen have also scored one half-century each in the ICC finals. At the same time, only Gautam Gambhir has scored two half-centuries in the ICC final.
