Airline Tickets: Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said about the cost of air tickets that usually the cost of flight tickets used to increase significantly during the holiday season. He said that our government has tried that the prices should not increase unexpectedly and we have also talked to the airlines about it. He said that if we talk about this year, the ticket price on many important routes is 14 to 61 percent less than before.
Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said on Wednesday (June 7) that a meeting of the Consultative Group of Airlines was held on June 6, only after which the reduction from 14 to 61 percent was done. Along with this, Scindia expressed satisfaction over the reduction in fares from Delhi to destinations like Leh, Pune, Srinagar and Mumbai. While addressing the press conference, Scindia said that I am happy to say that the maximum fare on these big flights has been reduced by 14-61 percent.
Air ticket fares have come down so much
Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia told that the airfare for booking tickets for the Delhi-Srinagar route on June 5 for June 6 was Rs 11,913 to 18,592. But on booking tickets on June 6 to travel on June 7, the fare has come down from Rs 10,626 to Rs 16,506. He told that earlier the fare of Delhi-Leh used to be Rs 8658 to Rs 26,644, which has come down to Rs 9707 to Rs 16,034. He told that there has been a reduction in fares for Delhi-Pune, Delhi-Ahmedabad routes.
Jyotiraditya Sidhiya said that in the next five years, there will be a total of 200 airports, heliports and water aerodromes in India. He told that domestic airlines will place orders for 1400 additional aircraft during this period. He said that where there were 74 airports in 2014, their number has now increased to 148.
