Today i.e. on May 1, the stock market will remain closed today. There will be no trading in the stock market on account of Maharashtra Day. As per the holiday calendar available on BSE, both the major exchanges NSE and BSE will remain closed on account of Maharashtra Day. Earlier, the stock market was closed on April 29 being a Saturday and April 30 being a Sunday. That is, this is the third consecutive day when the stock market is closed.
Adani Green Energy and NDTV results today
The quarterly results of Adani Green Energy, a company of Adani Group, will be released today. Adani Green shares saw a rally on Friday ahead of the quarterly results. The stock closed at Rs 952 with a gain of 3.81%. In the third quarter of the financial year 2023 (FY23), the company had a profit of Rs 103 crore. Which was more than double the 49 crore posted in the same quarter a year ago.
Apart from this, the quarterly results of NDTV will also come today. On Friday, NDTV shares closed at Rs 190, up 4.68%. Adani Group company NDTV had a profit of Rs 12.9 crore in the third quarter of FY 2023, which was less than Rs 27.6 crore in the same period a year ago.
All 10 stocks of Adani Group were up on Friday
On Friday, all 10 stocks of Adani Group were up. Shares of the group’s flagship company Adani Enterprises climbed 3.72%. Adani Transmission and Adani Power saw a gain of 5-5% each. Adani Ports, Wilmar, Total Gas, Green Energy, Ambuja Cement, ACC and NDTV were also among the gainers.
There was an edge in the market on Friday
Earlier, on the last trading day of the week i.e. Friday (April 28), there was a boom in the stock market. The Sensex closed at 61,112 with a gain of 463 points. The Nifty also saw a gain of 137 points, closing at 18,052. Of the 30 Sensex stocks, 22 saw gains and eight declined.
