As per reports, Sudipto recently felt fatigued while promoting the film, due to which he was admitted to the hospital. He was promoting the film even after the ongoing protest against the film. ‘The Kerala Story’ has crossed the ₹200 crore mark at the box office, much to the delight of the director of the film.

Director Sudipto Sen, being director Sudipto Sen, has banned him from further promotions of the film. Now the promotion of the film will be started only after his recovery. Releasing on May 5, ‘The Kerala Story’ features a talented cast including Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani and Siddhi Idnani. The film is based on the story of four women from Kerala who are forced to convert to Islam and join ISIS. However, the film is facing several criticisms.
