Tina Dabi first made a mark for herself as the IAS topper of 2015 batch. After topping the IAS, he was highly praised. Many girls considered her as their role model. After that Dabi came into limelight when she married IAS Athar Aamir Khan of her own batch. In March 2018, IAS Tina Dabi married IAS Athar Amir Khan of Jammu and Kashmir.
Tina and Athar’s relationship started from the ‘Lal Bahadur Shastri Academy for Administration’ in Mussoorie. The discussion of both of them turning into love and then marriage was discussed all over the country. Many politicians and journalists, including Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, had made a lot of noise about this marriage and described it from ‘the identity of secular India’ to a symbol of communal harmony. While congratulating both of them, Rahul Gandhi had even wished that ‘in this growing era of intolerance and communal hatred’, their love and affection may rise and become an inspiration for all Indians. After marriage, Tina Dabi had put Khan in front of her surname.
By November 2020, both of them filed for divorce of their own free will, which was approved in August 2021. In this way, the marriage which became an example of communal unity could not last long. Shortly before the divorce application, Tina had removed the Khan surname from her social media account. After the divorce, Athar changed cadre and returned to his home state of Jammu and Kashmir.
In April 2022, Tina surprised everyone by deciding to marry Pradeep Gawande, an IAS officer 13 years older than her. A year after the divorce, Tina remarried. Regarding this marriage, Tina had told the media that both had come close during the time of Kovid. After getting to know each other, when Pradeep proposes marriage to Tina, she accepts it. This was Pradeep Gawande’s second marriage as well. While being MD in RSLDC, Gawande’s name also figured in the bribery case.
In July 2022, the state government transferred 29 IAS. The names of Tina Dabi and her husband Pradeep Gawande were also included in this list. IAS officer Tina Dabi has been made Jaisalmer District Collector and District Magistrate, while her husband IAS officer Dr. Pradeep Gawande has been sent to Udaipur. Gawande was made the Managing Director and Director of Petroleum, Rajasthan State Mines and Mineral Corporation Limited.
