Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Retail Ventures Limited, on Friday (May 26) announced that it will soon launch the popular corn chips snack Allens Bugles in India. Allen’s Bugles is a very popular snacks brand in global markets like UK, US and Middle East.
Allen’s Bugles will be available for Rs.10. Allen’s Bugles will be sold at a pocket friendly price starting at Rs.10. It will be available in the market in three flavours: Original (Salted), Tomato and Cheese. Allen’s Bugles is an international corn chips snack brand owned by General Mills.
Allen’s Bugles in business for 50 years
Allen’s Bugles Snacks brand has been around for over 50 years. It is owned by General Mills. Minneapolis-based General Mills’ portfolio includes popular brands such as Pillsbury, Betty Crocker, Nature Valley, Häagen-Dazs, Cheerios, Old El Paso, Anise, Wanchai Ferry and more. US based General Mills is a food company and multinational manufacturer.

Chips launching will start from Kerala
The launching of the chips will start from Kerala and then gradually it will be sold across India. RCPL’s FMCG portfolio includes Campa Cola, Socio, Rusik, Independence, Toffeeman, Maliban, Glimmer and Dojo.
Acquired chocolate company Lotus
On Thursday, RCPL announced the completion of acquisition of 51% stake in Lotus Chocolate Company. Lotus Company manufactures chocolate, cocoa products and cocoa derivatives. The company supplies its products to chocolate makers and users around the world.
