The Fact India: In the midst of the elections to be held in Rajasthan, there is a news of relief for the Congress leaders. On Monday, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot held a four-hour meeting with Rahul Gandhi at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s bungalow in Delhi. In this, it was decided that both the leaders would contest the assembly elections to be held in Rajasthan together. The differences between the two leaders have been resolved for the time being.
After the dispute between the two was resolved, Congress leader KC Venugopal said that the Rajasthan assembly elections to be held this year will be contested under the leadership of Gehlot-Pilot. There is still a phase of talks between the two. KC Venugopal said that a four-hour meeting was held with Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot regarding the assembly elections. It was decided in the meeting that Gehlot and Pilot would contest the elections together. Both Gehlot and Pilot have left it to the high command to decide. It has been unanimously decided that both the leaders will fight against BJP together.
Gehlot and Pilot came out with KC Venugopal after a late night meeting at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s house. Gehlot-Pilot both were smiling. Venugopal only spoke to the media. Gehlot and Pilot just kept smiling, didn’t say anything. The two leaders along with Venugopal again went to Kharge’s house. It is not yet clear what formula was decided to resolve the pilot issue in the marathon meeting held on Monday evening. But since the pilot’s ultimatum was expiring on May 30, the high command must have found a conclusive solution on the issue.
Sachin Pilot did a walk from Ajmer to Jaipur on May 11 against paper leak and corruption of BJP rule. In the meeting held at Mahapura, Jaipur at the conclusion of the yatra on May 15, the pilot had given three demands and an ultimatum of 15 days. Pilot had demanded the formation of a high-level committee on the corruption of the previous Vasundhara Raje government, dissolution of the RPSC and reorganization and compensation to the unemployed affected by the paper leak. If all the three demands were not met, he had also warned of agitation. Pilot’s ultimatum will complete 15 days on May 30. The government has not accepted any of the three demands.
