Aishwarya Rai, Chiyaan Vikram and Karthi starrer period drama film ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ looks like it is going to be a blockbuster after seeing the three day collection. Like ‘Ponniyin Selvan 1’, ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ is also getting the love of the audience. Mani Ratnam’s film has received very good reviews from the critics, which seems to be affecting the film’s earnings as well. ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’, which released across the cinema halls on April 28, has crossed the Rs 100 crore club in just three days.

The first part of ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ had collected more than Rs 500 crore worldwide. Seeing which it seems that ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2′ will also cross this figure very soon worldwide. According to the Saknilk report, the collection on the third day of the film can reach more than the first two days i.e. 30 crores. The film did a business of 24 crores on the opening day and 26 crores on the second day. Three days’ earnings of ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ has reached 80 crores. The film did business of 20.26 crores in Tamil language, 2.3 crores in Hindi language, 1.1 crores in Malayalam language, 2.5 crores in Telugu language, and 0.04 crores in Kannada language on the second day.
The film is getting good response in Hindi regions.
Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ is getting good response in Hindi speaking areas. On the first day the film did a business of 1.7 crores in the Hindi belt, while on the second day the film did a business of 2.3 crores in the Hindi belt. In such a situation, seeing the earnings of the third day, it seems that the film is gaining momentum in terms of earning across the country and the film is also getting the benefit of mouth publicity. ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ stars Trisha Krishnan, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Shobhita Dhulipala, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram and Prakash Raj along with Aishwarya Rai, Chiyaan Vikram and Karthi.
