Thousands of Sai devotees from all over the country visit the Sai Baba temple in Shirdi every day to have darshan at the feet of Sai. To maintain the sanctity of the Sai Baba temple premises, security guards, officers and staff are prohibited from wearing slippers and shoes. (No one can enter the Sai Baba temple premises wearing slippers and shoes)
A circular was recently issued by Sai Baba Sansthan banning the entry of slippers, shoes in the premises of Sai temple. The implementation of this rule is starting from May 12. (Shirdi saibaba news)
The circular, signed by Saibaba Sansthan’s new chief executive officer Shiv Shankar, states that all administrative officers, superintendents, department heads of all departments, while entering the temple and temple premises, keep their shoes on the shoe stand outside each entrance.
Also, the Defense Department should allow Sai devotees and all villagers to enter the Sai Samadhi temple and temple premises only by keeping their footwear at the footwear stand outside each entrance.
The said circular has been mentioned to be implemented with immediate effect from 12/05/2023.
