Parliament Building Inauguration: The new Parliament House is ready, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to inaugurate on May 28. The construction of the new Parliament House was a huge effort as materials were brought from all corners of the country to build the Parliament.
Materials obtained from all over the country have been used in its construction. In a way, materials from all over the country have been seen coming together for the construction of Parliament, the temple of democracy. In this way the new Parliament reflects the true spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.
Teak wood imported from Nagpur In fact, teak wood has been imported from Nagpur in Maharashtra and sandstone (red and white) has been purchased from Sarmathura in Rajasthan. At the same time, carpets have been brought from world famous Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh.
Bamboo wood was brought from Agartala
Apart from this, bamboo wood has been brought from Agartala in the northeastern state of Tripura, from which the floor of the Parliament is made. Stone lattice works have been sourced from Rajnagar, Rajasthan and Noida and Ashoka’s symbol has been sourced from Aurangabad in Maharashtra and Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan.
Ashok Chakra was brought from Indore, Madhya Pradesh
The Ashoka Chakra installed in the new Parliament House was brought from Indore in Madhya Pradesh and some of the furniture installed here was brought from Mumbai and Lakha was brought from Jaisalmer. While Ambaji white marble has been imported from Ambaji in Rajasthan and saffron green stone has been imported from Udaipur.
Stone Carving Fine stone work has also been done in the new Parliament House. In such a situation, the stone carving work has been brought from Abu Road and Udaipur and the total stone has been brought from Kotputli Rajasthan only. M-Sand was procured from Chakri Dadri, Haryana and Fly Ash Bricks were procured from NCR Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
The brass work and pre-cast trenches were sourced from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, while the LS/RS false ceiling steel structure was sourced from Daman and Diu.
