Aditya Thackeray Letter To Governor: Aditya Thackeray, MLA of Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray in Maharashtra has written a letter to Governor Ramesh Bais. He says that this letter has been written to stop looting and road scams in Mumbai Municipal Corporation.
A Shiv Sena delegation met the Governor on May 10 this month and complained about the work being done in the Mumbai Municipal Corporation. Regarding this, Aditya Thackeray has requested the Governor to send a petition to the Lokayukta to stop the wastage of money from the Mumbai Municipal Corporation and the Chief Minister’s Office.
Expressed gratitude to the Governor in the letter
The youth leader wrote in the letter that in the absence of elected representatives, corruption is being done in the BMC run by the CM’s office. Aditya has also expressed his gratitude to the Governor for giving enough time to explain this corrupt practices.
He further said that Sir, with our meeting and humble request to you, BMC has issued a press note. But corruption has not stopped yet.
Ideally, the road mega tender should be scrapped and floated transparently with an elected body or under the supervision of a committee of retired judges.
unnecessary waste of money
Aaditya Thackeray said that it seems that the BMC and its administration are in a hurry or being forced by higher powers to ensure this. Mumbai’s money is being wasted before the corporators are elected democratically. While this wastage of money is unnecessary, and we are waiting for your office to send our petition to the Hon’ble Lokayukta, Sir, we humbly request you for an inquiry.
He has asked the governor to intervene in the matter and ask the BMC not to donate Rs 600 crore “advance mobilisation” funds to the contractors. He said that generally, advance mobilization funds are given to greenfield works and highways. Never for a city like Mumbai.
requested in the letter to His Excellency
In his letter, Thackeray said, Sir, where 25 out of 900 road works have not even started, raising advance would be a criminal waste of taxpayers’ money, and only the contractors and those who can possibly get kickbacks would benefit from it. . We humbly request Your Excellency to please intervene on behalf of Mumbaikars and ask BMC not to release advance mobilization funds until the road work is done for everyone.”
