Ajit Pawar was not present in the press conference
Ajit Pawar was not present at the press conference when Sharad Pawar announced the withdrawal of his resignation from the post of national president of the party. Many speculations also started regarding his absence. When Ajit Pawar was not present in the press conference, Sharad Pawar had said that not everyone can attend the press conference. Some people are here and some others are not.
“It is not right to ask this question”
He said that the senior leaders of the party took the decision unanimously and informed me about it. Everyone expressed their feelings through that decision. That’s why it is not right to raise the question that who is present here and who is not or to find its meaning. There are senior leaders in the committee. Everyone is united. On the other hand, NCP’s Maharashtra chief Jayant Patil said that Ajit Pawar was there to urge him to withdraw his resignation. When we went to Pawar’s residence after the decision was taken in the party office, he was still there.
What did you say on the question of successor?
On the question of the successor of the party, Sharad Pawar said that all the people sitting here can handle the country, there is a delay in getting a chance. Along with this, he said that succession planning has to be done in NCP. Will focus on organizational change in the party. On the question of retirement, he said that I had full apprehension that if I discuss all this, these people will not allow me to do so. Because of which I had to give my decision in this way.
