Lok Sabha Election Survey: Less than a year is left for the Lok Sabha elections. If the BJP is hoping to return to power for the third time with the help of Narendra Modi, then the enthusiasm of the Congress is high after the victory in Karnataka. Meanwhile, the effort of opposition unity to stop PM Modi has also intensified. Mamta Banerjee and Akhilesh Yadav are also trying hard to give a fight to BJP, but meanwhile a survey has come which will increase the tension of both of them.
Mamta Banerjee and Akhilesh Yadav are preparing for a third front in the 2024 elections. In this, regional parties are being considered keeping the Congress out, but the latest survey is a big blow to the hopes of both of them. This survey has been done jointly by NDTV and Lokniti-CSDS. In this, a question was asked about the leaders of the opposition that which leader can compete with PM Modi in the 2024 elections.
Rahul number-1 against PM Modi
In answer to this question, Rahul Gandhi has emerged as the first choice of the public. 34 percent people believe that Rahul Gandhi can give a fight to PM Modi in the Lok Sabha elections. After him, the second number is of Aam Aadmi Party leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. However, he is far behind Rahul Gandhi. 11 percent people feel that Kejriwal has the ability to compete with PM Modi.
Mamta and Akhilesh far behind
In front of PM Modi, Akhilesh Yadav’s number is after Rahul Gandhi and Kejriwal, but the figures are going to increase the tension of the Samajwadi Party chief. Regarding Akhilesh Yadav, only 5 percent people consider him in comparison to PM Modi. Public opinion about Mamta Banerjee is not even better. Only 3 percent people consider Mamta Banerjee as the face in front of PM Modi.
PM Modi at the forefront of popularity
PM Modi still remains the most popular leader in the survey. They are still the top choice of the public. 43 percent people say that if elections were held today, Narendra Modi would be their first choice for the post of PM. There is no one around them. On the second number, Rahul Gandhi has been liked by 29 percent of the public.
