Ever since Elon Musk bought the social media platform Twitter, a large number of its users are looking for new alternatives. Their search may now be fulfilled by BlueSky, better known as Twitter 2.0. This has been a topic of discussion for the past 1 week. BlueSky was created by Jack Dorsey, one of the founders of Twitter. Here are the answers to the questions related to the new platform BlueSky.
What is BlueSky?
BlueSky is a social network that offers many of the same features as Twitter. Users can post short messages and photos. It was ported to iOS devices in February. This month it has been launched for Android devices.
What will be the benefit out of this?
Its look and features are similar to Twitter. Users will get more facilities along with messages and photos on this platform. The purpose of the BlueSky project is to create a behind-the-scenes interface. With its help, users will be able to connect their other social media profiles with BlueSky.
How is BlueSky different from Twitter?
BlueSky’s CEO Jay Graber has said that unlike Twitter, BlueSky’s plan is to bring a decentralized system. It is designed so that no one person can make the rules for the entire BlueSky community. Tweets appear on Twitter and photos appear on Instagram, but they cannot easily be posted between those social networks. BlueSky operates using an “open protocol”. This will allow easy sharing of posts between other social media platforms.
How to join BlueSky?
Blue Sky is currently not available for general users. Its beta version can be applied to try. You can try the beta before it is publicly available. Enter your email address to join the waitlist for the beta. If the number comes after entering the email address, then the company will send an invite link for beta testing. From that link you can create your account on BlueSky.
