Lucknow got the benefit of this and the team reached the second place. Despite losing to Punjab in the first match, Chennai finished fourth due to better run rate. Yashasvi Jaiswal got Orange Cap
21-year-old Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored a blistering 124 off 62 balls against Mumbai Indians, beat Devon Conway and Faf du Plessis to win the Orange Cap. Yashasvi has now registered 428 runs in 9 matches. While at number two is RCB captain du Plessis who has scored 422 runs in 8 matches. On the other hand, Devon Conway, who scored an unbeaten 92 against Punjab on Sunday, is also third in the list and has scored 414 runs in 9 matches.

Chennai Super Kings bowler Tushar Deshpande, who took 3 wickets for 49 runs in 4 overs against Punjab Kings, won the Purple Cap.
