shraddha walker murder case
Shraddha and Aftab of the Dalit community were in a live-in relationship for a long time. The two first lived together in Mumbai and later moved to Delhi. In November 2022, Shraddha Walker’s father lodged a missing report of his daughter with the Delhi Police.
Based on the report of Shraddha’s father, the Delhi Police had interrogated Aftab by taking him into custody. Aftab confessed to the police that he killed Shraddha in May 2022. Aftab had also told that he had cut 35 pieces of Shraddha’s body and thrown it at different places.
Aftab had ground Shraddha’s bones into powder and thrown the intestines in the dustbin. The police had recovered parts of Shraddha’s body after taking Aftab’s custody remand. Even after Shraddha’s death, Aftab continued to run her social media handles for a long time. By doing this, he wanted to keep Shraddha’s acquaintances under the illusion that she was alive.
