Security agencies have made changes in view of the threat of terrorist attack on the G-20 Tourism Working Group (TWG) going to be held in Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir. At the behest of Pakistan’s infamous ISI, terrorist organizations are planning an attack on the G-20 meeting on the lines of the 26/11 Mumbai attack.
This plan of the terrorists has been revealed by the suspect Farooq Ahmed Wani, who was caught by the security agencies. Wani worked in a posh hotel and worked as an over-ground worker (OGW) of the terrorists. OGW used to provide information, logistics, logistics, money, shelter etc. to terrorists instead of directly involved in terrorist incidents.
After this revelation, security has also been tightened around the G-20 venue. Not only this, suspicious international mobile numbers are also being used to spread false rumors regarding the G-20 meeting. The Jammu and Kashmir Police has issued a public advisory regarding this.
Let us inform that the security forces arrested Farooq Ahmed Wani in the last week of April 2023 while taking action before the G-20. Wani, a resident of Haigam Sopore in Baramulla, worked as a driver in a famous five-star hotel in Gulmarg. According to sources, he was associated with terrorist organizations as OGW and was also in direct contact with ISI.
During interrogation, he told that during this meeting to be held on 22-24 May 2023, the terrorists wanted to enter the hotel and target everyone including the foreign dignitaries who were there. The terrorists wanted to take people hostage on the lines of the attack on the Taj Hotel in Mumbai.
Let us inform that on 26 November 2008, Afzal Kasab and his associates attacked the Taj Hotel and tried to take people hostage. Those who came in the way of the terrorists, they were gunned down by these people. During this, there was a lot of loss of life and property, but Kasab, a terrorist, was caught.
Farooq Ahmed Wani also said during interrogation that terrorists are preparing to attack two to three places in Kashmir simultaneously during the G-20 summit. After this disclosure, security has been tightened across Kashmir and especially in Srinagar, all activities are being monitored through CCTV and drones.
In fact, for the first time after the abolition of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, India is organizing an important international conference in Kashmir. Representatives of 20 countries are participating in it. Pakistan is worried about this. He has refused to attend this meeting. At the same time, China has also refused to participate in the meeting here, supporting Pakistan, calling Kashmir disputed.
